Yesterday and today

I am wiped.  I am exhausted.  It's a combination of stress and exercise.

Last night I grappled.  Cage fought with three of the guys, who had to go easy since I was so outclassed.  It's ok though; I am learning how to defend myself.

Today I did the Hillsborough Hop 5K.  Ran the first mile, walked the second, ran the next .75 or so, walked until the last .2 and then ran again!  Time was around 38 minutes.  Next time I want to run the entire thing.  Not bad though for someone who has not run in over a year!!!!

Wasn't feeling so hot (YES, STILL).  I think that I have an iron deficiency even though I take a pill in the AM.  Maybe I need more.  Anyway,

Friday night special

Tonight was awesome!!!  I grappled with Adam, although there was no cage fighting.  I got all of the moves the first time.  I even showed Adam some submissions.  He was a great partner!

Kickin' ass

Grappled today.  Went in the cage four times.  Submitted Amanda both times with choke.  Submitted Pietro twice with choke and he got me (leg bar) once.  Lasted about 15 seconds with Mikey before we started laughing.  He is too damn good - high school or college wrestler.

Pull me up

Today is a rest day.  I am physically drained from the MMA.  I did my band-assisted pull ups though.

No cage fighting today

I am really bruised. Yes, really, really bruised from head to toe.  I have to wear a red dress on Monday for AHA, and true to my nature, it is sexy and short.  So, no cage fighting until Monday evening.  Yesterday, I did the training, but I did not fight.  It's ok.  I am exhausted.

Good news though.  I bought an awesome bikini and short shorts!!!!

Poked Eye

I had grappling class today. As usual, it was great!  I got poked in the eye though.  I sat out for a few minutes, and then returned the favor by choking my opponent out.  Payback is a bitch...and so am I!  :)

Sore as hell

I grappled again today.  Holy shit, am I bruised and sore.  I was in the cage four times.  I did really well.  There was a new girl there.  Young, but inexperienced.  So, it was nice. I taught her and then I grappled with the guys.  This weekend will be dedicated to crossfit.  Crossfit is like a first love.  It got me into shape, and I will always love it.

Bruised like hell

I grappled again today.  My arms are completely bruised.  It is crazy.  I look like someone beat me up.  On the bright side, my ass is getting tighter, my abs are getting tighter, and my arms are getting bigger....Now I have to make sure that I do crossfit this weekend.  Bikini weather is coming, and I want to be ready...bruises and all!

A day later

I grappled yesterday...really grappled!  Three times in the cage - submitted once by a full Nelson, survived 2 full minutes, and then learned techniques on a big dude.  This workout was unbelievable.  Oleg warmed us up by kicking our asses.  I did ok and kept up with some of the guys.  I had to do knee push ups at the end because I was wiped!  Anyway, I was so tired that I forgot to blog!  This MMA/grappling is awesome...and I am still the only chick....and it's fine!!!!

Saw "Fighter" at the theater and then watched a UFC Ultimate Fighter episode that I taped...motivated me to work out at 11:15 PM!  Kept it light since I am still getting used to Oleg's boot camp (LOL)

I've been a bad girl

Last week of teaching....Grappled Monday and Friday....need to do crossfit this weekend.  Need to control my stress levels.

One of the things I started yesterday (Friday) was a diet.  Not so much for losing weight but to make sure that I am eating enough.  I don't eat enough veggies or protein.  Let's see what happens...
